The mezuzah is made from a piece of basalt rock from the Golan Heights in Israel, to both ends of which are connected crafted clasps of bronze and a bronze letter Shin which is attached to the mezuzah’s center.  On the inner surface of the basalt stone is a groove in which to place the prayer.

The contrast between the black basalt and the golden bronze creates the most interesting connection and a strong presence.  A rough, strong mezuzah.

This mezuzah is also available in a much larger size for assembly on large doors or gates.

The brown limestone originated in Ramat Habanias, in the foothills of the Golan Heights, in Israel.  The stone has been roughly carved to maintain its unique color and to create the mezuzah’s special character.

At each end of the rock are iron clasps, and in the center – the letter Shin, or forged iron as well.  On the back of the stone a groove has been carved for the mezuzah prayer card.

This mezuzah is crafted from Timna stone from the Eilat region, an area rich in minerals and copper stones.  The blue-green color of the stone is natural, just as it is in nature.

To the stone are connected two clasps of shaped and designed bronze, with the letter Shin, also of bronze, adhered to the center of the mezuzah.

On the back of the stone is a groove for the mezuzah prayer.

A small, delicate mezuzah crafted from copper with a glass body.

The mezuzah body is made of transparent glass through which one can see the mezuzah scroll.  At the edges of the mezuzah are decorative copper clasps.  A small, delicate and elegant mezuzah.

A mezuzah design integrating delicacy and roughness – black granite stone, infused with spots of color, smoothed and polished to miniature proportions, in a design full of contrasts between its small size and delicately smoothed rock and its regal colors which infer roughness and strength.

The mezuzah clasps are constructed from one long brass wire (an alloy of copper and zinc), which embraces the stone from all sides.  The letter shin that is adhered to the stone is also of brass.

Bottom mezuzah:  A beautiful, intricate mezuzah integrating several materials:  black granite, brass and glass.

This mezuzah also expressed the contrasts between strong granite rock and the delicate, smooth design.  The rock is gently polished, with a hand carved open space in its center for the mezuzah scroll.  In this space lies a transparent glass tube for the scroll, in a design that protects the scroll and also enables it to be seen.

The mezuzah clasps are of brass, as is the letter shin at the top of the carved stone.

The body of the mezuzah is crafted of black granite that has been roughly polished in an asymmetrical manner – the roughness of the polish expresses the strength of the stone.

At the center of the granite rock is a carved open space for the mezuzah scroll.  In this space lies a transparent glass tube for the scroll, in a design that enables visibility of the scroll and still protects it from its surroundings.

The clasps are of brass, as is the letter shin adhered to the top portion of the rock – and it, too, is asymmetrical.

This mezuzah expresses the intense contrasts between the light, delicate sandstone and rough, black iron.

The mezuzah body is crafted of Nubian sandstone of reddish white, polished and smoothed with meticulous care.

The clasps at the mezuzah sides are fashioned of decorated black iron.  The letter Shin on the mezuzah body is also carved in iron.

The contrast between the various elements results in a very striking appearance that is hard to overlook – it simply attracts the eye.
