Stone and wrought iron

The sculpture base is crafted of Jerusalem stone with a red layer created as a result of oxidation appearing in the upper portion.

The stone has been carved into the map of Israel, upon which stands a figure whose body is river stone and whose arms, legs and head are of forged iron.  He carries a pack on his back.

This sculpture was inspired by my own journey down the entire Path of Israel and was granted to the tour guide as a gift.

size: 50 cm width, 60 cm height.

This sculpture was inspired by my complete tour of the Path of Israel, and was granted as a gift to an assistant who carried water and food for the travelers.

The sculpture is comprised of a vehicle and service wagon whose bodies are of carved river stones from the Upper Galilee in Israel.  The wheels and other parts are of forged iron, and the service wagon proudly carries the flag from the Path of Israel.

The iron strips simulating the male and female are of forged iron, and they emerge from inside 2 greyish river stones that were gathered from the Jordan River in the Upper Galilee of Israel.

Another small river stone is fastened to the man’s head.

The two portions of the sculpture may be separated and moved into alternative positions.

A sculpture simulating the hand of a mother caressing her infant.

The mother’s hand is larger than that of the infant, and both rest near each other at the center of a small river stone, longing to touch.

The river stone was collected form the Jordan River in the Upper Galilee of Israel, and the hands are of forged iron.

size: 30 cm width, 70 cm length.
